Dear
Bob,
Thanks
again
for the
wonderful
experience
we all
had
hunting
with you
in the
beautiful
Absaroka
Mountains.
I had
arranged
to hunt
with
four of
my long
term
hunting
companions,
and the
pressure
was on
to
deliver
the
promised
wilderness
elk hunt
of a
lifetime.
John's
six
point
with a
bow
after
twenty
years of
trying
started
it off.
Then Lee
shot a
bull on
opening
day of
rifle
season,
not bad
for his
first
day ever
hunting
elk.
Dewayne
got his
best
bull
ever on
day two,
and
Dennis
shot a
big six
on day
three.
He'll
never
forget
his
first
experience
in the
mountains.
I hunted
solo
with Jim
Thompson
on days
four and
five. We
saw
bear,
sheep,
and lots
of elk.
We never
lost
confidence,
and
passed
up elk
until
the
right
one was
there an
hour
before
dark
that
last
evening.
What a
great
time
shared
with
buddies
age 61
to 73.
If
anyone
needs a
reference,
have
them
contact
me.
